1965 Hofner 500/1 Beatle Bass w/ Orig. Hard Shell Case [Central FL pickup only]

I am no expert.  But despite being in excellent condition for vintage, I believe this is a 1965 Hofner 500/1 Beatle Bass. Please consider the following info from internet resources when reviewing photos:
In 1964 Hofner 500/1 Bass: pickups had a much larger pickup surrounds allowing more adjustment between pickups and the bass strings. Most basses now have a raised plastic logo which was phased in during 1964.
In 1965 Hofner Bass: in 65 the control panel grew wider.
In 1967 Hofner Violin Bass:   Pickups were upgraded to a louder bar blade style pickup.  A small headstock logo now replaces the plastic raised letter logo.  Tuners are enclosed with a gear cover

Includes rare original hardshell case.  No modifications to my knowledge, but I’ll include replacement knobs.
We are not experts in this product.  So please rely on photos and Google to determine materials, vintage, etc.  While I try to include photos of any flaws, my eyesight is not what it used to be; so there may be flaws that I did not spot.  Please read entire description & ask any questions before purchasing! The following info includes shipping, but I am going to try to find a buyer who can pick up locally to avoid the risk of shipping.
Willing to deliver in Central Florida between Jacksonville, Orlando, Tampa & Melbourne area.
Not selling outside of the lower 48 states due to shipping concerns.  Seller reserves the right to use alternate mode of shipping (USPS, UPS, FedEx, etc.) at seller's discretion.
Note that eBay and PayPal policy mandates that we require a signature on all items of 0 or more to be eligible for seller protection. This is for seller protection, as well as the protection of the buyer. It is the responsibility of the buyer to be available to sign for and receive the package for delivery or to contact the shipper to arrange a pickup at a local center or to make other arrangement with the shipper, if possible. Also based on PayPal policy, we must ship to the address in the shipping details of the PayPal invoice we receive for the item purchase. We cannot ship to a secondary or gift address, unless it has been added to the PayPal account and selected before payment is made for an item.  FedEx and UPS do not deliver to PO Boxes (only USPS does). For items that we advertise with standard shipping, the item must ship to a physical street address. Buyers using PayPal MUST have a physical street address as the ship-to address and it MUST appear in the shipping details of the PayPal receipt that we receive. No exceptions.
We want you to be happy with your purchase, but we must take steps to avoid buyer fraud.  Buyer fraud increases costs for all the honest people on eBay.
Delivery of purchased items is made unless:
- The buyer fails to meet the seller's posted terms, including payment instructions
- The seller can't verify the buyer's identity
